Reza Deghati
Philanthropist, idealist, humanist and renowned photojournalist, Reza has spent the last 40 years sharing with the world his unique photographs capturing people, cultures and traditions, thereby enabling a deeper understanding between human beings. He is Explorer of the National Geographic Society and Senior Fellow of the Ashoka Foundation. Over the course of his career, with or without his camera, Reza has volunteered his service to those living in conflict-ridden societies. The priority of Reza is to provide visual education to vulnerable communities in order to give them the means of becoming trained and able to express themselves through photography. Because of that, he created the NGO: Reza Visual Academy. More than training the youths, the NGO also displays the pictures taken by the young photographers in order to share their testimonies with the rest of the world.
